Congratulations to Talawanda Girls Swimmers on a Stellar Performance at the OHSAA D1 State Swim Meet!
A huge congratulations for the outstanding achievements of these girls at the OHSAA Division I State Swim Meet! The team showed tremendous talent, determination, and sportsmanship as they competed at the highest level.
The relay team of Casey Offenburger, Abbie Curry, Madison Sparks, and Anna Gregg made their mark by qualifying for both the 200 Free and 400 Free Relays. The team showcased their speed and teamwork, finishing 14th in the state in the 200 Free Relay and 22nd in the 400 Free Relay. Their performance was a true testament to their dedication and hard work throughout the season.
Individually, Anna Gregg delivered an exceptional performance, earning a spot in both the 50 Free and 100 Free events. She finished 13th in the 50 Free and 11th in the 100 Free, proving her skill and determination in both races. Anna's performance was a highlight of the meet and earned her recognition as one of the state's top swimmers.
Abbie Curry also had a remarkable showing at the state meet, qualifying for both the 50 Free and 100 Free. Abbie made history by winning the District Championship in the 50 Free, and earned a 7th-place finish in the state for the event. She also finished 15th in the 100 Free, solidifying her as one of the state’s top swimmers.
These talented swimmers and their relay teammates have represented Talawanda with pride and excellence at the state level.
